Recipe: Chocolate Pudding

This recipe is so simple you may never go back to the box ever again. It takes a maximum of 15 minutes to all come together. I topped it with simple whipped cream (cream + a small amount of sugar) and some fresh chopped cherries for a really fantastically simple and delicious dish.

  1. 1/4 cup cornstarch
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 1/8 teaspoon salt
  4. 3 cups whole milk
  5. 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  6. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  1. In a bowl over a double boiler combine the cornstarch, sugar, and salt and pour in the milk as well.
  2. Whisk the mixture slowly for about 10 minutes, making sure there are no lumps.
  3. Once the milk has thickened add the chocolate and stir for 2-3 minutes until fully incorporated and smooth.
  4. Removed from heat, stir in vanilla and then place in the fridge for 30-60 minutes to set.
