I saw this punch on the Food Network site and thought it’d be nice. It’s a pretty mellow punch but the second batch I didn’t add the ginger ale (just more ice that melted nearly instantly) and that was even better. So I wouldn’t bother with the ginger ale of the original recipe unless you love ginger ale.
- 2 limes, sliced
- 2 oranges, sliced
- Two 60-ounce bottles cranberry juice
- 2 cups orange juice
- 4 cups vodka
- 2 cups triple sec, such as Cointreau
- Place the lime and orange slices in a large ring mold (I used a simple bread pan), layering the slices alternately in between each layer. Mix together 3/4 cup each cranberry juice, orange juice and water. Pour the juice mix over the sliced fruit. Freeze until firm, about 6 hours.
- Mix the remaining orange juice with the vodka and orange liqueur in a punch bowl. Unmold the ice and float in the punch. Serve over ice in rocks glasses.
