Recipe: Idaho Nachos

I saw a flyer for this dish at a County Fair so it’s not going to be high cuisine any time now but it was such an interesting dish and it wasn’t all together that bad. It’s basically a mash up between regular nachos and chili cheese fries and can pretty much be adapted to any personal taste.

Idaho Nachos
Serves 4
  1. 1/2 bag Waffle Fries or Crinkle Fries
  2. 1/4 cup Sour Cream
  3. 2 Tablespoons Hot Sauce
  4. 1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
  5. 1/4 cups Onion, Diced
  6. 1/4 cups Pickled Jalapeños
  7. 1/4 cups Black Olives
  8. 1/2 whole Tomato, Diced
  9. 2 whole Green Onions, diced
  1. Begin by cooking your fries in the oven according to the directions on the package. During this time, prepare the remaining ingredients.
  2. When the fries are done cooking, top with the cheese, then place back into the oven for about 5-7 more minutes or until the cheese is nice and melted.
  3. Arrange fries on a plate and sprinkle with the chopped tomato and green onions. Place a dollop of the sour cream and hot sauce on top of the fries, and eat right away.
