Recipe: Roasted Brussel Sprouts

An easy side that is delicious and satisfying. Make sure that the spouts get nice and browned because that’s when the flavor really kicks in. This dish is one of those no nonsense recipes that seems fancy so it’s a perfect dinner party recipe too.

Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Serves 4
  1. 2 pounds Brussels sprouts
  2. 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  3. 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan
  4. 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon zest
  5. 1 tablespoon finely ground black pepper
  6. 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  7. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  1. Preheat oven to 400° and line a baking sheet with tin foil.
  2. Slice each Brussels sprout in half lengthwise, toss them in olive oil and place them in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  3. Mix together breadcrumbs, parmesan, salt, pepper, and lemon zest in a small bowl.
  4. Cook the brussel spouts for about 30 minutes, pull them out of the oven and coat with the breadcrumb mixture and then place them back in the oven to cook for 5-10 minutes until the cheese has melted.
