Recipe: Stuffed Shells

Stuffed Shells
Serves 8
  1. 1 box jumbo pasta shells, cooked
  2. 1lb cooked turkey (or chicken or beef or veal, whatever you like)
  3. 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  4. 1 heaping tablespoon parsley or italian mixed herbs
  5. 1/2 onion, chopped finely
  6. 1/3 cup fresh Shredded parmesan cheese
  7. 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  8. 1 jar sauce (or homemade)
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Prepare the filling in a medium size bowl by stirring together the cooked meat, ricotta cheese, onions, parmesan, mozzarella, and the chopped herbs together.
  3. Put the dish together by lining a baking dish with the sauce and then filling each shell with the cheese and meat filling and placing them open side up in the pan.
  4. Once the pan is full of shells, top them with a small amount of shredded mozzarella, and shredded parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake shells uncovered for about 20 minutes or until the cheese topping is completely melted and the edges of the cheese are starting to turn slightly brown. Eat hot.
