Recipe: Sweet Potato and Turkey Meatballs

I’ve made these meatballs so many times and forgot to take pictures that I have given up and this sub-par picture will have to do until the next time I make them. These meatballs are great and they have a softer texture and a richer flavor than your average meatball. They’re an added vegetable bonus and they can really stretch out a pound of meat too if you’re on a tight budget (from 16-20 for a pound without sweet potato to 30-36 with the sweet potato).

A nice way to add vegetables to meatballs, stretch your budget, or just enjoy the classic combination of meat and potatoes in one bite

  10. salt and pepper, to taste
  11. optional spices: cumin, fennel, coriander, paprika
  1. In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients well.
  2. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place on the foil.

  1. You can pan fry these also but I bake things because I'm lazy 🙂
